First, you register under: http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/urf - When you launch into the system, go to the section “New participant” and follow the steps outlined.

Then you will receive an e-mail:

(NB! – THIS IS UNIQUE CODE, SO DO NOT TRY TO FOLLOW THIS CONCRETE LINK, YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR OWN!)

Once you do this steps, your organization is registered and you will have a Participant Identity Code (PIC) active in 48 hours after the registration.

Then, you have to access http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/urf-lear_en.html , where you will find downloadable forms and instructions for the appointment of the Legal Entity Appointed Representative (LEAR). You will find as well some additional information regarding the PIC usage and the LEAR.

Together with the LEAR form it is also required to send the public or private entity validation form. Please find this attached.

The LEAR will be the responsible for the maintenance of your legal and financial data of your organisation.

NOTE – these forms are required on a paper copy sent signed and stamped by your organisation.

One practical advice, before starting the registration- consult your legal or financial office. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SPECIFIC DATA ON YOUR ORGANIZATION, I.E. VAT NUMBER; DATE OF REGISTRATION AND NUMBER OF REGISTRATION.
