News archive - Thematically open Call for Proposals: Research Cooperation and Networking between Austria, public higher education institutions in Kosovo/UNMIK and South Eastern Europe

The Austrian Science and Research Liaison Offices Ljubljana/Slovenia and Sofia/Bulgaria (ASOs) launch a call for scientific networking and project cooperation between research institutions in Austria, public higher education institutions in Kosovo/UNMIK and in South Eastern Europe with special attention to young and early stage researchers in Kosovo/UNMIK. Funding is provided by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research (bmwf) and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) in the framework of the "Multidimensional Project for the Implementation of an Institutionalised Partnership between Austria and Kosovo in the Field of Higher Education, Research and Innovation"
Deadline for submissions: April 10, 2009.

The total funding available for this call for proposals is 180.000 Euro; a maximum of 12.000 Euro per project is envisaged.

The execution of this call for proposals is supported by the K-CIRT (Kosovo Centre for International Higher Education, Research and Technology Co-operation): Kosovar partners will be advised and supported during the writing of proposals by K-CIRT.

The contractor has to be a research institution from Austria. Eligible participants are universities, non-university research institutions and tertiary education organisations. Only public higher education institutions are eligible from Kosovo/UNMIK. The consortium composition must include one partner from Austria, one partner from Kosovo/UNMIK and at least one partner from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, FYR of Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
