News archive - European Research Council opens second call for Starting Grants
The European Research Council (ERC) has opened the second call for it's Starting Grants, targeting researchers with three to eight years of experience since gaining their PhD.
Submissions will be accepted in the following fields: physical science engeneering (deadline: October 28, 2008), social sciences and humanities (deadline: November 19, 2008), health and life sciences (deadline: December 10, 2008)
Over 9,000 applications for around 300 grants were submitted in response to the first call.
