Successful IP holders in Serbia
On the occasion of the International Day of IPR (April 26), the The Intellectual Property Office of Serbia held a panel with the participation of the female innovators including Eko Tim company from the city of Loznica, who was awarded with the WIPO IP Enterprise Medal 2022, as the best practice among women entrepreneurs in Serbia.
Company Eko Team was beneficiary of the enhancement innovation management capacity service that Institute Mihajlo Pupin provided within an Enterprise Europe Network project three years ago. One of the main recommendations was to protect trade mark. They successfully did it last year and the owner Ljiljana Matkovic has been awarded with the WIPO Enterprise Medal, delivered by the representative of the The Intellectual Property Office of Serbia. WIPO in the cooperation with The Intellectual Property Office of Serbia has started with the promotion of the women entrepreneurs who successfully applied IP in their business since 2022, while 2023 has been promoted as the year of women entrepreneurship.
