News archive - [Event Announcement] 2nd Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region

The Second Annual Forum of EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) will take place in Bucharest, Romania on 28-29 October 2013. The Forum is jointly organised by the European Commission and the Government of Romania.

The publication of the 1st  Report (see below) on the implementation of the Strategy (April 2013) and the crucial stage of the negotiations for the future programmes in the period 2014-2020 will shape the debates among decision-makers from business, politics, international organisations and civil society coming from all over the Danube Region.

This follows the first Annual Forum organised in Regensburg (Bavaria, Germany) in November 2012. The subject of the Forum was "How can the Danube Region help to have a more competitive Europe" and it encouraged a reflection on the potential contribution of the macro-regional perspective to Europe's growth. It attracted more than 600 participants, including German Chancellor Merkel and Ministers of several countries in the Danube Region.

Registration will open after the summer break. Keep up with developments here.
