News archive - [Event Review] First international conference on „European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and Synergies with the European Research Area (ERA) Focusing on Mobility“, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Federal Ministry of Education and Science hosted the first international conference on „European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and Synergies with the European Research Area (ERA) Focusing on Mobility“ which was held in Sarajevo on 12 and 13 September 2012. The conference has been held within co-chairmanship Bosnia and Herzegovina (together with Cyprus) of Bologna Follow-Up Group in period from 1st of July to 31st of December 2012.

Federal Minister of Education and Science Damir Mašić has highlighted that this conference will be used for gaining competent and quality recommendations so that higher education system in B&H can be in fastest and safest way incorporated in European Higher Education Area.

Opening ceremony was also attended by Minister of Education and Culture od Republic of Srpska Anton Kasipović, which has announced that within the co-chairmanship of BFUG will be held another International Higher Education Conference. That conference was held on 12 October 2012 in Banjaluka and it was focused on strengthening entrepreneurship at universities and better connection with labor market.

Introductory presentations about most current issues in the subject area have been held by eminent foreign and domestic experts, distinguished professors from European universities.

  • Theme 3 -   Interuniversity Mobility (prof.dr. Petar Marić )
  • Theme 4  -  Challenges between the EHEA and the ERA Correlation (mr. Boris Ćurković)
  • Theme 5   - How Increasingly Better Inform Research Community About Integration to the EHEA & ERA , Possibilities for Funding and Networking (Haris Muhić, SUSBIH).                   

Within the conference, FP7 project WBC-INCO.NET has been presented, in which SUSB&H is a partner together with Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
