"Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions in Horizon 2020: regional and international impact" People Conference will be held on November 5-6, 2012 at University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus.
The Event: The Conference is dedicated to Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions in Horizon 2020 their regional and international impact and the issues and challenges related.
Aim: PEOPLE Conference aims to emphasize the importance of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and their potential: Embracing Science, Research and People, assess their impact and input in the fulfilment of the Europe 2020 strategy while underlining the Euro-Mediterranean collaboration and mobility, the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship and addressing new policies and ideas crucial to the improvement of the quality within Marie Curie actions.
The Conference is an opportunity to enhance Science and its results, exchange ideas, build partnerships, share knowledge and ideas that could lead to solutions opening the way to economic development and growth.
The event aspires to address issues on research policy, provide new opportunities for the delegates and contribute to the shaping of a new research landscape with special emphasis on:
- the Euro-Mediterranean collaboration identifying regional priorities and areas of collaboration
- the link between human potential and the development of research infrastructures and capacities in small EU states
- the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship on a local regional and global level
- the need for improvement of the quality of Marie Curie placements and other mobility issues
- identifying new policies, quality issues, crucial to the improvement of the quality of Marie Curie Actions.
- Introducing of Marie Curie Prizes an award scheme aiming at encouraging young people to become role models in research, entrepreneurship and innovation.
