Science Festival Belgrade

"Taking the numerous similar manifestations dedicated to science popularisation as a model, the main aim of the Science Festival in Belgrade is to connect and to establish communication between the public and the scientific institutions which seldom have an opportunity to get to the wider audience in order to introduce and explain the significance of the scientific accomplishments in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, mathematics and other areas. (...)

And that is exactly purpose of the Science Festival – to use the wide spectrum of presentation methods in order to introduce, explain and promote the science in a way that would be equally acceptable and understandable to each and every visitor, regardless of their age. This is probably the most important aspect of this manifestation. Experiences in other countries in which similar festivals were organised have all shown that public audience has to get a chance to be put in scientists’ shoes, to discover how the world looks like under a microscope, what is the secret of chemical reactions and, the most important, how do we widen our knowledge." (Source: About Science Festival).

The festival website is especially dedicated to the respective upcoming festival (e.g. the 2009 Festival from 4 to 6 December, 2009).
