Dr. -Eng. Arjan Xhelaj is the Director of the national Interuniversity Center "Academic Network of Albania". He studied Physic and ICT Engineering in the University of Siegen, Germany and finished his PhD in Biophysics & Medical physics. He worked till September 2009 as researcher fellow and docent at "Goethe University" of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. During the residence in Germany has been engaged also as freelancer and consultant in several SME's. After his return in Albania worked in the Ministry of Education an Science as Director of Higher Education and Research till  end 2010. Since January 2011 till now he is the Director of the new established "Academic Network of Albania" (http://www.rash.al/) the albanian Nationa Research and Educations Network. He is also NCP for Joint Research Centers  and  had been involved in the SEE-ERA.NET PLUS project. From 2009-2011 was the national coordinator and expert of the Bologna Follow up Group  and member of Accreditation Council of Higher Education. Since January 2011. Dr. Xhelaj teach actually as external professor in Physic and Biotechnology, at the Faculty of natural Science on Tirana state University.
