MSCA-NET

The main objective is to facilitate the transnational cooperation between National Contact Points (NCPs) for the MSCA in order to achieve a consistent and harmonized level of NCP support.

The project started in March 2022 and has a duration of 36 months. It is coordinated by Euresearch in Switzerland and is consisted of twenty-six Beneficiaries and four Associated Partners from all levels of experience and among all Horizon Europe country groups.

It is structured into five Work Packages through which a series of activities have been foreseen to empower the network of National Contact Points (NCP) for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and lead to higher quality and quantity of MSCA proposals.

In particular:

Work package 1 – Management & Communication

The goal of this WP is to establish and maintain the efficient, smooth and timely management of the project. This includes the financial management, contractual issues and liaisoning with EC and REA for the implementation of the project, the project monitoring which includes a visualisation of the project outcomes and internal and external reporting, Steering Committee and consortium meetings, and internal and external communication with all relevant target groups.

Work package 2 – Training, Mentoring and Support

The objectives of WP2 are a) to improve and professionalise the support offered by MSCA NCPs and b) to evaluate the project activities to improve the NCPs’ services.

To this end, a series of training activities, in the form of workshops, mentoring and twinnings will be organised. Regular monitoring with questionnaires ensures high-level quality. Special attention will be given to newcomers/less experienced NCPs to rapidly acquire the know-how accumulated by their peers. Specific measures to support the NCPs in both Third Countries and “Widening Countries,” such as training and mentorship schemes will be organised to stimulate more high-quality applications from or with beneficiaries in these countries and increase their success rate in MSCA.

Work package 3 – Tools

WP3 aims to provide user-friendly information on the MSC actions to NCPs, facilitators, the scientific community and stakeholders to deepen their understanding of these actions and to assist them from application preparation to successful implementation. Best practices and lessons from previous calls will provide a complementary perspective to the existing information by the EC and REA. The tools and products will be widely disseminated to the target groups via the project’s dissemination, exploitation and communication channels.

Work package 4 – Strategic Capacity Development

This Work Package will build up capacity and leverage different participation levels of country groups (with a special focus on Third and Widening Countries) in Horizon Europe. A benchmarking and a self-assessment tool will serve to identify the actions needed.

Work package 5 – Synergies and Collaborations

The main objective of this WP is to foster synergies and collaboration among the MSCA NCPs and different stakeholders, facilitators and networks at different scales (REA, EC, EU initiatives, etc)
