REligious Studies Infrastructure: tooLs, Innovation, Experts, conNections and Centres in Europe

RESILIENCE is a unique, interdisciplinary and invigorating research infrastructure for Religious Studies, building a high-performance platform, supplying evolving tools and big data to scholars from all the scientific disciplines crossing religions in their diachronical and synchronical variety. RESILIENCE primarily serves the academic community, and at the same time its impact extends significantly to the non-academic community: it offers the tools for an innovative approach to Religious Studies which can be used to build a European response to the challenge of religious diversity.

The project is picking up the ESFRI Forum’s qualification that Religious Studies is a high potential strategic area. Thirteen European institutions have created a consortium which addresses the challenge of creating a larger, structured involvement of excellent scholars who innovatively produce competencies, knowledge, approaches, and impact within the scientific domain of Religious Studies. RESILIENCE is listed in the ESFRI Roadmap 2021 and has received funding from the European Commission for its Preparatory Phase (2022-2026).
