Collaborative Grants For Innovation (Montenegro)
At the Meeting held on 23 September 2021, the Government of Montenegro adopted the Innovation Program 2021-2024.
The aim of this Program is to present in one place all relevant program lines of support for innovation planned in the next period, which will make it easier for the innovation community to identify all the instruments which will be available and focused on the entire development cycle of innovation: from the idea itself to its commercialization and market launch.
The adopted Program includes eight program funding lines of the Ministry of Economic Development, which will be implemented on the basis of public tenders and six funding lines from the program framework of the Innovation Fund. The two program funding lines which will be opened during 2022 (the Innovation Vouchers Program and the Collaborative Grants Program) are explained in detail in the separate sections, and here we present the remaining four lines which will be opened upon fulfilment of the necessary requirements.
Collaborative Grants for Innovation
This Programme is intended for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in order to implement innovative projects in cooperation with scientific research institutions and/or other micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with the aim of creating new products, services, technologies with sustainable impact and market potential.
The purpose of Public Call is to encourage companies to actively and meaningfully cooperate with scientific research institutions and other companies on commercially oriented innovative projects while strengthening the competitiveness of Montenegrin companies and supporting the transfer of innovative ideas from scientific research institutions to the market. Total amount of funds for co-financing innovative projects is 670,000 euros for a period of up to two years and co-financing amounts to up to 100,000 euros for approved grants. Grants will ensure co-financing of up to 80% of the total costs of the project for micro and small enterprises, or up to 70% for medium-sized enterprises.
