EDIC - Enterprises Development and Innovation Center
EDIC was founded in 2010 offering a unique and results-oriented approach to marketing and sales for businesses.
The Center covers such topics as general management, business administration, finance and accounting, leadership, ethics, sales and marketing, innovation, organizational learning and change, human resource management, operation management, and industrial economics. A major emphasis is on action learning through group projects.
The Center provides expertise and services for:
- business development projects including strategy;
- go-to-market;
- new business development;
- technology commercialization;
- technology transfer;
- technology demonstrations and verification;
- and technology partnerships.
The Department of Business and Management focuses also on:
- studies on how organisations develop and use strategies;
- structures;
- and the accompanying social, political, economic, and technical processes needed to compete in national and global markets.
EDIC provides following services:
- social enterpreneurship (“Social entrepreneurs” are individuals with innovative solutions to society’s most pressing social problems. They are ambitious and determined, tackling major social issues and offering new ideas for wide-scale change)
- woman enterpreneurship (Women Entrepreneurs of EDIC aim to develop programs in order to reach a number of age groups. W.E.'s activities focus on awareness of entrepreneurship as a viable career option. EDIC is a national initiative to support pre-launch coaching, business resources, start-up financing opportunities, and mentoring to help women entrepreneurs start a business)
- Youth enterpreneurship (The Center´s purpose is to encourage and assist students and young researchers in the development stages of ideas either in the area of entrepreneurship or involvement in business activities of the society, social entrepreneurship, and everything else within the framework of the business)
- growth and innovation
- incubator (is addressed to both new entrepreneurs and existing enterprises that aim at commercially exploiting an innovative product or service)
