Description
Since its establishment in 1965, the IZIIS put significant efforts in the disater risk reduction. The primary goal of all the activities undertaken has been protection of population and property, reduction of physical and economic damage and protection of socio-economic systems of Macedonia against effects of earthquakes but also against other natural disaster agents. All the activities are in the domain of mitigation, preparedness and readiness, providing a consistent legislation, higly professional and human resources and other professional capability and capacity for sustainable development.
