The Institute for Advanced Composites and Robotics (IACR) was founded in February 2009, when the approval from Ministry of Education and Science was received. Founder of the institute is Mikrosam A.D.. Main activities of the institute are planning and implementation of the scientific researches in the field of advanced composites and robotics, then creating, processing and implementing the results from the research and development of the materials, process, and equipment and production technology for the requirements of the industry on local, regional and international level and carrying out research and development projects in the field of advanced composites and robotics for known clients on commercial base. At the moment the institute has 2 permanent and 3 temporary doctors of science and 3 senior researchers. The potential interest for cooperation of the institute would be: 1.Joint participation on research and development projects within FP7, which will involve research and development of various materials, process and equipment and production technology. 2.Mutual cooperation between IACR and the Politecnico di Bari based on the research and development projects in the field of electronics, automatisation, control and robotics. 3.Mutual exchange of doctors of science and researchers for the purpose of executing workshops, presentations and lecturers in different fields of mutual interest. 4.Participation on other national, regional and international research and development projects.
