"The Institute for International Relations (IMO) is a public, non-profit, scientific policy research organization engaged in the interdisciplinary study of

  • international economic and political relations,
  • transitional policy,
  • international markets,
  • sustainable development,
  • resource economics and environmental policy,
  • foreign policy analysis,
  • strategic decision analysis, and
  • culture and communication.

Activities

IMO's activities emphasize high quality interdisciplinary research and scientific analysis of crucial social and policy issues of international scope and global importance.
The Institute caries out research, educational and informational activities through

  • the development and execution of research projects;
  • the organization of seminars, international conferences and specialist training programs;
  • providing strategic decission support and decision analysis services to decision makers, non-governmental and international organizations as well as to the regional and international industry;
  • the dissemination of the research results and information through the publication of books, professional journals, reviews, monographs and working papers;
  • improving information exchange and networking through the application of information technology.

Publishing and Documentation

IMO is one of the major publishers of books in the English language in Croatia in the field of policy research with special emphasis on international relations and economics, environmental policy, European integration processes, and culture and communication.

IMO is also the Croatian depository of the European Union (EU) Documents and the home of the European Documentation Center (EDC)."
