Description

In Montenegro, Electrical engineering studies began in 1961 in Titograd as a department of the Belgrade Electrical Engineering Faculty, and two years later the Engineering Faculty with Electrical Engineering Department was founded.
Nowadays, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica represents a modernly designed teaching-scientific institution which organizes independently or in cooperation with other institutions the fundamental, applied or development researches.
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering organizes and carries out undergraduate, specialist and master’s studies, as well as doctoral studies in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Undergraduate Studies
There are two departments at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering including different courses of studies and courses:

Department for Energetics and Automatics
- Study Group of Electric Power Systems
- Study Group for Industrial Electrical Engineering and Automatics
- Courses in Industrial Electrical
- Courses in Automatics

Department for Electronics, Telecommunications and Computers
- Study Group for Electronics
- Study Group for Telecom mu nica tions
- Computer Science Study Group.

Within the Faculty two year studies are organized and carried out at the Computer Science College. The College was founded with the aim of educating professionals in the field of computer science and information technology.

Postgraduate Studies
Postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering are organized at six courses of studies:
- Theoretical Electrical Engineering
- Power Supply Systems
- Electrical Machines and Industrial Plants
- Computers
- Management
- Telecommunications
