"The university has a wide research infrastructure including a Research center for the study of the quality of horticultural products and useful substances from plants, a micro-pilot station for microbial cultures, a center of excellence “Nutrition and feeding of animals”, a Center for research in comparative medicine, a Center for applied biochemistry and biotechnology and other independent laboratories such as wine sensory analysis laboratory and microbial biotechnologies laboratory and so on.
Also belonging to the university’s patrimony are the research and didactic stations of Baneasa, Istrita and Pietroasa.
Remarkable results on field and animal farms have been obtained in the following fields: plant breeding, agrotechnics, field crops production, land improvement works, research for tree growing and viticulture, including organic production. In animal complexes, modern technologies were established animal species, new duck hybrids have been created for fat liver, seasonal polycyclicity has been changed into annual polycyclicity in sheep, unique products resulted from embryo transfer, etc."
