Mission
Within the framework of the regional development strategy, the RDA (Regional Development Agency) is seeking to identify the problems of the territory, as well as the means of exploiting the opportunities offered by the region. The agency contributes to the process of change and reform of the Romanian society in the EU and global context, based on efficiency, effectiveness and innovation.

The South-East Regional Development Agency is in charge of regional planning (Regional Development Plan, Regional Innovation Strategy), management of the regional dimension of national EU Structural Funds programmes, as an Intermediate Body for the Regional Operational Programme and the SME funding axis of the Competitiveness Sectoral Operational Programme, and development of regional projects. As a regional planning organisation, it mobilises local and regional stakeholders in the elaboration of realistic and comprehensive socio-economic analysis and strategy for the region, encompassing all the relevant fields for the development of the territory: economy, infrastructures, innovation, human resources, education, environment, etc.
As an Intermediate Body for the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism, the agency manages the funds allocated for the region, in the fields of transport infrastructures, tourism, business support infrastructures and services, social services and urban development.
