Institute for Research and European Studies
The Institute for Research and European Studies (IRES) is a think-tank determined to achieve applied, policy-oriented research, to enable various models of informal education, and to promote discussion on the most pressing and contemporary political, legal, security and economic issues within the European and International affairs.
The Institute for Research and European Studies (IRES) areas of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research include EU institutions and policies, European federalism and EU development perspectives, transatlantic relations, regional cooperation, global governance, international political, legal, security and economic affairs, with a special emphasis on the European and the Balkan region.
In order to achieve its objectives, the Institute for Research and European Studies (IRES) tends to dedicate on the following:
1. By realizing scientific research in the field of European studies.
2. By working with like-minded research organizations, universities, and individual academics and research and building partnerships in the form of joint research projects, project proposals, and meetings in order to enhance the capacity building, international presence and reputation of the IRES.
3. By organizing training courses, workshops and other similar activities., as an informal education models.
4. By organizing and participating in lectures, scientific conferences and scientific meetings.
5. By translating and proofreading of scientific publications and literature.
6. By launching a publication series, that reflects the IRES research activities and interest.
7. By Promoting the European Studies as a separate and significant scientific discipline.
8. By holding a number of outreach activities that promote the activities and findings of the IRES to the wider academic and research community and the general public.
