Description

The Image Processing Group of Debrecen (IPGD) is a research group of to the Faculty of Informatics, University of Debrecen in Hungary and it is closely related to the Department of Computer Graphics and Image Processing. The group was formed in 2000 as a platform to co-ordinate and support the promotion of computer and machine vision research.

IPGD currently consists of a core team of faculty members, postdoc researchers, PhD students, and masters students working on Biomedical Imaging, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Digital Topology, 3D Visualization and Multi-modal Human-computer Interaction projects.

Our former activities include developing automatic screening systems, thermal video processing, recommendation systems based on image retrieval, mathematical studies on skin cancer, developing software libraries for image processing purposes. Beyond image processing the group has a well-established background in machine learning, data mining, multimodal data analysis and also in a distributed environment. We can also support tasks needing computer graphics and visualization.
