Description

Objectives of the Cluster are:

 

·Strengthening of the research and development capacities in the medicine and healthcare sector, support to innovations and technological improvement of the regional economy and raising competitiveness of products and services on the local and foreign markets,

·Establishing of international cooperation for more efficient integration in global science, economical, social and cultural exchange and involvement in the European research sector,

·Education and exchange of information between the cluster members,

·Establishing of links between the economy and science in the medicine, healthcare and similar sectors, Improvement of the general conditions for the research and technological development in the medicine and health sciences, and monitoring of the technical and technological accomplishments in targeted sectors, with special priorities given to medical imaging, biotechnologies, nano medicine and ICT for health.

·Faculty of the natural sciences of the University of Banja Luka,

·Electrical Engineering Faculty of the University of Banja Luka,

·Clinical Centre Banja Luka

·Agency for economic development “PREDA-PD” Prijedor

·Euro project centre Banja Luka

·Paroco B, Banja Luka

 

The Cluster is formed within the project of AMI4EUROPEfinanced by the Framework Programme 7 (FP7) - specific program “Regions of knowledge”, whose purpose is strengthening research potential ofthe European Regions. Particular attention is devoted to incentives and support to the development of regional “clusters based on research” across the Europe, with joint participation of universities, research institutions, enterprises and regional authorities (“triple helix approach”). The project is implemented by the consortium of 23 institutions and organizations from Spain, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Romania and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
