In December 2008, DDSME and the Capital City of Podgorica established the first business incubator in the field of information technologies (IT). D.o.o.Inventivnost started its work in March 2009 and plays an important role in the process of founding companies, intensifying the transfer of know-how and creating highly qualified personnel.

Further Partners in the project is the University and Municipality of Podgorica, GIZ, TAM/BAS and the organization SPARK.

Entrepreneurs with feasible projects joining the incubator are offered specialized menu of support resources and services, e.g.:

•          Physical space and equipment (office space, computers, printer, internet, meeting room, etc.)

•          Management coaching and training; 

•          Support in creating an effective business plan;

•          Administrative services;

•          Transfer of knowledge and technology

•          Technical support;

•          Business networking;

•          Presentation at trade fairs and exhibitions

•          Advice on intellectual property; and

•          Sources of financing.

The business incubator is aiming to become a central place for all advanced young people that have entrepreneurial spirit and good ideas that could innovative products, services or processes. Due to high interest, a project under the name “Virtual Incubation” was prepared which assumes participation in the business incubator project of as many small companies as possible, of those which already have their offices and wish to use other forms of support (MoE 2010a: 22).
