News archive - [Event Announcement] EUA Funding Forum

The Funding Forum is a unique, inclusive platform open to all higher education funding stakeholders – universities and students, public authorities, public and private funders and partners. It builds on EUA’s continuous and internationally recognised work on university funding. The outcomes of the Forum will also provide the European institutions as well as national and regional public authorities with the views of the sector. Following the successful events on income diversification and full costing, EUA is organising the first Universities’ Funding Forum in Salzburg, Austria from June 11 till June 12, 2012. The deadline for registration is May 24, 2012.

The Forum will notably:

  • Analyse the impact of the economic crisis on Europe’s universities
  • Look into the future of European funding for universities and the challenges universities are facing
  • Examine the consequences of integrating “performance” criteria into funding models
  • Explore new ideas to bring money into higher education
  • Help university leaders to design adequate strategies in response to funding changes
  • Discuss both the funders’ and the students’ perspectives on sustainable funding.

The Forum is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the latest research on the topic as well as with best practice from prominent speakers selected from across Europe, and to meet peers interested and involved in higher education funding. It is also your chance to take an active part in an event that will contribute to the future higher education funding policy agenda at regional, national and European level.

The preliminary programme of the Forum and further information are available on the event website.
