The FP7’s Research Potential National Contact Point Network, ResPotNet is organising a combined info day and brokerage event on the September 22, 2011. The event that is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Rue de la Loi in Brussels, has been split up into two activities.

The info session, being held in the morning, will be the ideal activity to attend if you are looking to gain some insight into the 2012 calls, launched last July. These calls, as always seek to unlock the research potential in the convergence and outermost regions, in accordance with the Commission’s long term goals for excellence in the fields of research and innovation. Mr Dimitri Corpakis, Head of Unit, Regional Dimension of Innovation, DG R&I, together with other memebers of the EC will be explaining the priorities for the regional innovation strategies and giving an overview of the regional calls for 2012.  

A networking lunch will follow the session and will offer up the opportunity to all those interested in the FP7’s Regional Programme to meet and discuss matters among themselves. The aim of this brokerage event is to encourage meetings and foster possible collaborations between potential participants.

Several of the Regional National Contact Points will be available until 16:30hrs to answer any queries the participants may have and to facilitate the networking activity. Please click on: Programme for more details.

Research Potential 2012 Call:  Factsheet

Call Identifier: FP7-REGPOT-2012-2013-1

Call Title: Integration of research entities from the EU’s Convergence and Outermost regions in the ERA and enhancement of their innovation potential. 

Objective: Stimulating the realisation of the full research potential of the enlarged Union by unlocking and developing existing or emerging excellence in the EU's Convergence regions and Outermost regions, and helping to strengthen the potential of their researchers to fully integrate them into the ERA.
