News archive - Call for grant for the organization of activities to promote studying abroad at universities in South-East Europe

The King Baudouin Foundation offers grants of annually 10.000€ to five universities in the Western Balkans to organise activities to inform about and to promote studying abroad among students.

Deadline for submisson of application forms: May 25, 2009

These activities could include information days on studying abroad, scout and ambassadors’ programmes in which former exchange students inform interested students about studying abroad opportunities and support them in their application for scholarships or other activities.

Grants will be given for one year and are extendable to two years based on an evaluation of the first year and a list of propositions for promotion activities for the second year.

Target group
o Public universities in the Western Balkans (i.e. Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia)

Timing
o Launching the call: 06/04/2009
o Deadline for submisson of application forms: 25/05/2009

Selection criteria
• Creative and viable ideas for promotion activities
• Evidence of a need for promotion activities
• Regional diversity among grantees
