News archive - Intel Challenge Europe Competition Open for Applications from the WBC

The Intel Challenge business plan competition is open to students and young researchers in the fileds of development of technologies that may include, but are not limited to the areas of wireless computing, digital home, enterprise and consumer software, energy, nanotechnology, semiconductors, digital health and biotechnology.

Submission deadline: July 1, 2010.

Eligibility

  • Organisers accept projects where participating students or recent graduates of any level of formal academic study (bachelor, bachelor's degree or graduate), at least one team member must comply with this requirement. Scholars can participate and support the team.
  • All team participants must be adults under the laws of the country of origin of participants.
  • Projects must be in working prototype stage.
  • The projects must have a business plan in English.

Applicants need to submit a one-page summary of their business plan.

Benefits:

Winners will receive cash prizes and a trip to participate in the global US$25K Intel + Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge at the University of California, Berkeley. Participants will receive coaching from local and
US mentors, access to webinars and feedback on their idea from experts.
