News archive - Event Announcement: ARTEMIS & ITEA Co-summit
The Joint Technology Initiative ARTEMIS (Advanced Research & Technology for EMbedded Intelligence and Systems - http://artemis-sra.eu) and the EUREKA Cluster Programme ITEA 2 (Information Technology for European Advancement - http://www.itea-office.org) are organising a Co-Summit on ‘European competitiveness and well-being through ICT-based innovation’.
The conference, which will take place on October 22, 2008 in Rotterdam/NL, is expected to bring together some 500 participants from industry, universities and research institutes and the Public Authorities from all over Europe.
The summit’s programme includes keynote speeches, a project exhibition, three parallel sessions on practical ICT-based approaches to real challenges in society and economy as well as the presentation of the ITEA Achievement Award & Exhibition Award. Participants are also invited to attend the ARTEMISIA General Assembly to take place on 23 October 2008.
Taking part in Joint Technology Initiatives (like ARTEMIS) and in EUREKA Projects (like ITEA 2) is considered as an important opportunity to gain more information on and to engage in current developments in the ERA. Partners from Several Balkan Countries already participate in ITEA projects or have established National Information Points. For further information about partnership/membership opportunities, please contact the initiatives concerned.
Entrance to the co-summit is free for all current ITEA / ITEA 2 partners and ARTEMISIA members. Non-members pay an entrance fee of 200 € (VAT included). To attend, please register online before 15 September 2008.
