This GTZ programme was presented from the European Software Institute Centre Bulgaria ((http://www.esicenter.bg), who has an experience in the implementation of CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and IT Mark.

The main goal of this workshop was the share of experience, knowledge and the raise of awareness over software process improvement, information which was mainly presented by Mr. Ivaylo Gueorguiev programme manager ESI Centre Bulgaria. The presentation covered three main modules such as:

-Cooperates and Software Process Improvement (SPI)
-SPI for European Southeastern SMEs
-Long-term and short-term benefits of SPI for SMEs

The presentation of the above mentioned programme manager was fruitful and productive on the programme goals as: creation of regional concurrence bases for the information technology industry through the development of maturity of companies in this field, the growth of regional capacity, and also a better position in the international market.

During the workshop, debate was focused on the practical aspects of the implementation of these methodologies’:

- Internal and regional implementation
- Companies’ profits and the needed sources
- Case studies

The overall workshop was concentrated on how to help companies interested in the implementation of software processes programme.
