News archive - Innovation: Policy Briefs discussing innovation policy

The Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) programme (part of FP7) publishes policy briefs to communicate research results in a structured way in only a few pages (getting policy insights at a glance, discovering thought-provoking results and comparisons in Europe, checking quickly a methodology). Some of the recently published poliy briefs include information on topics such as innovation futures (foresight), innovation networks (and firms participation) as well as financial markets and innovation.

The policy briefs can be found on the following website http://ec.europa.eu/research/social-sciences/policy-briefs_en.html

INFU - Innovation futures in Europe: A foresight exercise on emerging patterns of innovation. Visions, scenarios and implications for policy and practice (October 2010) [466KB]
INGINEUS - European firms' reasons for taking part in global innovation networks (September 2010) [251KB]

An EU-funded research project involving 13 organisations, partly from emerging countries (Brazil, China, India and South Africa)
FINNOV - Do financial markets reward innovation? (Spring 2010) [134KB]

Through such policy briefs the some important results of EU funded projects are presented, recommendations are provided, further reading is suggested, etc.

If you have further questions on the projects, contact details are also provided in the policy briefs.
