News archive - Science and Technology in Society Forum in Kyoto informed about Serbian research priorities

Dr. Snezana Pajovic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Science and Technology Development of Serbia, participated at the 5th Annual Meeting of the Science and Technology in Society forum which was held from October 5 to 7, 2008 in Kyoto (Japan). She participated in a ministerial round table presenting the Serbian research landscape and scientific priorities.

Over 750 leading scientists, policymakers, business executives and media leaders gathered from 91 countries, regions and international organizations. This year’s STS forum discussed science and technology under the main theme “Harmony with Nature.”

During the Ministerial Round Table, Dr. Snezana Pajovic presented the Serbian research landscape focused on the scientific priorities.

Apart from the presentation of the State Secretary, the Rector of the University of Belgrade, Prof. Dr. Branko Kovacevic, participated in the 22nd Rector's Meeting and had presentation under the topic ''The role of the University in the 21st Century''.
