In March 2007, the European Council commmitted to an integtrated climate and energy policy with ambitious targets for 2002 and beyond.
In the recent months, both the European Council and the EP have underlined the importance of further enhancing the energy security of the EU and its members and of further developing the external dimension of the EU energy policy.
Relevant stakeholders are now invitited to express their views on the issue in a public concultation, which can be completetd online: http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/energy_transport/home/consultation/energy_en.htm
