News archive - [Event Announcement] Westbalkan Science Day - A Matching Event for Researchers from Austria and the WBC
The second Westbalkan Science Day, organised by the Austrian Science and Research Liaison Offices Ljubljana and Sofia (ASOs) will take place in Vienna on June 22, 2009. The event aims at establishing and promoting networking activities as well as strengthening existing cooperations between Austrian and Western Balkan researchers for further research activities.
The following two thematic domains have been selected:
- Social Sciences: “Changing society in a comparative perspective” and “Development and social cohesion in a knowledge society” and
- Resource Management: “Agro Food” and “Water Management”
While the morning session will provide information about research capacities in the Western Balkan countries, the Austrian research landscape and funding opportunities, the afternoon will be reserved for individual networking, elaboration of new project ideas and discussion of future cooperation in the thematic workshops.
