News archive - South East European initiatives library on SEERA-EI website

The documentation from past and current EC co-funded South East European (SEE) initiatives is now available here. This is an attempt to share the knowledge gained during the last decade and provide input for current and upcoming efforts in the field of electronic Infrastructures around the world.

More specifically, the SEE-related library provides access to all the public documents that have been produced during the implementation of the SEEREN, SEEREN2, SEE-GRID, SEE-GRID-2, SEE-GRID-SCI, SEERA-EI and
HP-SEE projects.

The SEEREN and SEEREN2 initiatives have established a regional network, while the regional Grid infrastructure has been created through the SEE-GRID and SEE-GRID2 projects. The SEE-GRID-SCI project contributed in
empowering strategic regional user communities in common use of the eInfrastructure. HP-SEE project opens the South East European High-Performance Computing infrastructure to a wide range of new user communities, including those of less-resourced countries, fostering collaboration and providing advanced capabilities to researchers. SEERA-EI provides an open forum for national-level programme owners in order to enable the coordination of national programmes in the field of electronic infrastructures.

The above projects have been instrumental in the development of electronic infrastructures in the region. The SEE-library constitutes a valuable resource for similar international e-Infrastructure activities.
