News archive - 16th Meeting of the CEEPUS Joint Committee of Ministers Taking Place in Montenegro

The 16th Meeting of the CEEPUS ( Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) Joint Committee of Ministers has taken place in Montenegro on March 25, 2010 in Budva, Montenegro, the country currently chairing CEEPUS.

The meeting's main objective was the signing the CEEPUS III Agreement, prolonging the programme for seven more years. Furthermore, Moldova was accepted as a new member at the Budva meeting.

The current programme CEEPUS II constist of 55 networks of partner universities organising exchanges and joint study programmes. Alltogether, 15 countries are taking part in the mobility programme covering all of South-East Europe.

Its successor programme CEEPUS III is expected to allow for more flexibility and the creation of stronger links between science and technology, expecially in the frame of Doctoral courses.
