The European Commission's Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) was presented in Skopje on December 19, 2007. FYR of Macedonia and Croatia are the two non-EU members that have joined the CIP.
Economy Minister Vera Rafajlovska and the EU Ambassador Erwan Fouere held introductory speaches.
The CIP is divided into three operational programmes: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (EIP), Innovation Communication Technologies Policy support Programme (ICT PSP), and Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE). The programme runs from 2007 to 2013.
