News archive - IPTS Survey on Universities in Europe and Beyond

The Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) of the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) requests researchers' expert opinion on the present and future state of universities in Europe and beyond

The survey is directed towards research and teaching staff currently working, or who have previously worked, in universities or affiliated institutions with responsibilities for research and/or teaching activities (e.g. teacher, professor, researcher).

This survey is also looking for the opinions of senior university managers with power and responsibility to make decisions to manage (organise and coordinate) the university as a whole or specific units or areas. IPTS would therefore be very grateful if you could disseminate either this email (i.e. to researchers / teachers) or the website of the project within your university and network of associates.

Responding to the full survey should take no more than 20 minutes, although it is possible to choose to answer only those questions related to either the current outlook or those looking towards 2025 by leaving some questions unanswered. In either such case, the completion of the survey would take only 10 minutes.

To access the researchers survey please follow this link. The survey is open until Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Final results of this survey will be available in October 2010 (if you wish to be informed of the results of the survey, you can leave your contact details before submitting your answers).
