News archive - Vacancy: Expert position in macroeconomics at the Biotechnical Faculty, Montenegro

The Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Montenegro seeks for an expert in Macroeconomics field for a European funded FP7 project AgriSciMont. The project is aimed at improving capacities and human resources in order to increase international visibility and strengthen the position of the Faculty as the important research body in the agricultural and food sciences in the region of the Western Balkans.

The BTF is looking for experienced Macroeconomics expert to be based in Podgorica for 24 months. The EU Funding scheme - Coordination and support action encourages the experts who left their countries of origin to return back.

 Duties and responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Agri SciMont Project Management the expert will be responsible for:

Ø      Macroeconomics programming and modeling

Ø      Agricultural economics

Ø      Rural development policy

Ø      Agricultural policy analysis

Ø      Collaborate with relevant institutions in the country and abroad in order to facilitate programming, modeling and analysis in agricultural economics in Montenegro;

Ø      Supporting preparation of project proposals for FP7, IPA and other support schemes;

Ø      Participating in developing of RTD Strategy of BTF, focusing on Harmonization of Montenegrin Agricultural Policy with EU Common Agricultural Policy - CAP.

Ø      Promoting and increasing visibility of the Biotechnical Faculty at international level;

Ø      Increasing the research excellence within the field, improve the collaboration, knowledge and experience exchange between the BTF Departments;

 

Qualifications:

-          PhD degree in agricultural economics, economics, macro-economics or similar field;

-          At least 4 years of relevant professional, consulting and training experience;

-          Familiarity with national and EU Common Agricultural Policy - CAP principles and instruments;

-          Strong communication and consultative skills;

-          English and Montenegrin fluency required;

Salary:  Salary for the position will be matter of negotiation.
