News archive - Call for Papers on Competitive Growth of the Adriatic – Danube - Black Sea Region
Est-Ovest, an Italian-based interdisciplinary review on european integration studie, is calling for papers on Competitive Growth of the Adriatic – Danube - Black Sea Region, outlining the necessary conditions for developing an even more integrated and competitive economy under new market conditions (deadline: March 1, 2010).
The Call for Papers focusses on the following topics:
- a. agriculture, energy, environment
- b. macroeconomic trends
- c. human capital, labor markets, migration flows
- d. manufactures, entrepreneurshp, innovation
- e. connecting/accessing infrastructures
- f. policies, regional institutions, local governance
Within these research topics Est-Ovest invites specialists and researchers in
- political economics, international economics, industrial economics, finance, demography, statistics, labour economics, development economics
- transport economics, regional economics, agrarian economics, economics of energy sources, environmental economics
- European integration law, European institutions, regional institutions law, local development governance, evaluation techniques
… to contribute. Selected articles will appear in the 2010 online issues of Est-Ovest.
In relation to the development of the call, East-West plans to organise (autumn 2010) a final event in the form of an international conference, to define with the authors of articles and other experts a point of view on the situation and its geopolitical implications, and to launch new strands of research.
