News archive - [Event Announcement] Networking event of Science in Society (SiS)

The Networking event of Science in Society (SiS) is organized by SiS.net, the network of National Contact Points for Science in Society, in cooperation with the European Commission, Directorate General Research - Unit B.6 Ethics and Gender and will take place in Brussels on October 7, 2011. Deadline for  registration and  submission of a cooperation profile is September 30, 2011.

This Science for Society event targets a wide spectrum of universities, research centers, civil society organizations (CSOs), public authorities and companies interested in sharing new project ideas on engagement of society with the scientific research and innovation

This event will focus on:

  • Mobilization and Mutual Learning Activities (MMLs)
  • Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI)on tackling societal challenges
  • Gender in Science and Research
  • New developments  in Science Education

Why to participate

  • to get first-hand information from the European Commission about upcoming SIS call
  • to meet potential prospective partners and coordinators  in a one-to-one bilateral meetings
  • to enhance  international collaboration through FP7 projects
