News archive - Research Capacity Call for Western Balkans announced
During his visit to Serbia (see related news), Janez Potocnik announced a special call for proposals to be launched during the summer that will address the specific needs of the region with respect to research capacity. The call is expected to be launched end of July and a very early deadline is to be expected (Mid October 2009)!!
It can be assumed that the Community contribution envisaged to such a project (Support Action) will be approx. 1-2 million euro (for projects lasting up to 36 months). Similar to previous REGPOT calls, exchange of know-how and experience, recruitment of experienced researchers, upgrading or aquisition of research equipment and maintenance as well as organisation of workshops, conferences, dissemination and promotional activities will be funded.
In the projects, cooperation with at least 3 outstanding reesarch "partnering organisations" established in at least 3 different Member States or Associated Countries, other than that of the applicant will be required!
Projects from this call might be starting in mid 2010.
