The cross-border RDI and joint economic planning are specific objectives of the Priority Axis 1 of the call:  IPA Cross Border Cooperation: Croatia – Serbia 2007-2013. Don't miss the deadline: November 15, 2011.

The Agency for Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia and The Delegation of the European Union to Serbia are seeking grant proposals under the grant-scheme, dealing with the following priority measures:

  • (1) Economic Development
  • (2) Environmental Protection
  • (3) People-to-People

with financial assistance from the 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 budgets of the IPA Cross Border Programme Croatia – Serbia 2007-2013. The overall indicative amount of € 5,350,165 is made available for financing actions under this Call for Proposals. The cross-border eligible and adjacent Programme areas where project activities must be implemented are:

In the Republic of Croatia – Osijek-Baranja and Vukovar-Srijem Counties as eligible area and the Požega-Slavonia and Brod-Posavina County;

In the Republic of Serbia – Srem, South Bačka, North Bačka, and West Bačka District as eligible area and Mačva District as adjacent area.

The overall objective of Priority Axis 1 of this call is to promote the sustainable development of the region through effective use of the region’s economic potential, in synergy with friendly and appropriate use of natural resources ensuring the preservation of regional biodiversity. The specific objectives are to promote business cooperation, increase cross-border trade, and develop labour market mobility, cross-border RDI and joint economic planning; to stimulate tourism development based on the cross-border regional identity and the natural and cultural assets of the cross-border region; to protect and safeguard the natural assets of the cross-border region by taking joint actions and by increasing public awareness and to promote good neighbourly relations across the border between local communities. The overall, indicative, amount of the CBP Croatia-Serbia financing made available under this CfP for actions implemented in the eligible and adjacent areas is € 5,350,165 out of which € 2,160,000 for Croatia and € 3,190,165 for Serbia. The size of available grants for the Economic Development measure and the Environmental Protection is from EUR 50,000 up to EUR300,000 and for People to People from EUR30,000 till EUR 50,000.
