On June 19-20, 2008 the NPO, the Network on Public Research Programming, The Netherlands, is organizing a conference on Evidence Based Policy Making: International Best Practices in connecting Science and Policy in De Bazel in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Registration for the event is open. Registrations by April 28, 2008 benefit from an early-bird rate.

The aim of this conference is to connect a broad range of views, internationally as well as transdisciplinary on ‘Evidence Based Policy Making’. Seasoned policy makers and experienced researchers from all over the world will give an insight into their own experiences, providing you with ample examples and concrete tools for evidence based policy making.

This conference will also explore opportunities to structure the international exchange of knowledge and experiences.

Dr. Roland Schenkel, Director-General of the JRC, will chair the session "Evidence Based Policy Making: Regional perspectives: Europe".
