News archive - New publication assesses social science research capacities in FYRo Macedonia
The publication “Assessment of Research Capacities in Social Sciences in Macedonia” offers a review and critical analysis of the policies and decision making related to research and institutions conducting and supporting social science research. Furthermore, it provides an overview of the status of the research activity at the national level.
On the basis of the results of the assessment, recommendations for overcoming the detected systemic deficiencies and for improving the status of social science research are offered to each of the assessed actors (Ministry of Education and Science, Academy of Sciences and Arts, public and private universities, national scientific institutes and think thanks) aimed at improving the status and the quality of social science research in the FYR of Macedonia.
The Centre for Research and Policy Making in Skopje compiled this Policy Study for the University of Fribourg/Switzerland as a part of the Regional Research Promotion Program in the Western Balkans (www.rrpp-westernbalkans.net), supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
