News archive - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science meets Janez Potočnik
Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic had a meeting with European Commissar for Science and Research Janez Potočnik on October 22, 2008.
On that occasion, Minister Djelic asked Commissar Potočnik to include Serbia in the EURATOM research Program. Commissar Potočnik promissed to visit Serbia again in spring of 2009 in order to present the 7th. Framework Programme to Serbian researchers. During the discussion, he supported the initiative to reopen calls for regional projects concerning the WBCs.
He also met Viviane Reding, Member of the EC in charge of Information Society and Media, Joaquín Almunia, Member of the EC in charge of Economic and Monetary Affairs (see pictures).
Furthermore, a delegation of the Republic of Serbia met Roland Schenkel (General Director of the Joint Research Center JRC) and Octavio Quintana (EURATOM Director) in Brussels.
