The project FOCUS BALKANS is organizing 2nd FOCUS-BALKANS Training module about Food Consumer Science (Frameworks, Protocols and Networks for a better Knowledge of Food Behaviour). The training will be organized on October 12-13, 2009 in Montenegro.

The flyer attached and the link (http://www.focus-balkans.org/?p=52) will provide you with more information and the possibility to register on line. The application should be filled on line before September 1, 2009.

Feel free to forward this invitation to institutions and researchers who might be interested in participating, and in particular:

  • Food consumption researchers, students and scientists from the fields of psychology, sociology, agriculture, nutrition science, economy, agronomy etc.
  • Local development agents and experts (such as representatives of food consumer associations etc.)
  • Stakeholders from food supply chain or inter-professional bodies interested in food consumer science.

The participants could benefit of a limited number of available training grants that cover training costs, accommodation, meals and travel expenses. Criteria for grants allocation are the motivation of applicants and the relation of their research / professional activity with Food Consumer Sciences. A few additional trainees could, if selected, participate on a self-financing basis. In such cases, no fees are charged for the training costs; while travel, accommodation and food would be at the expense of the participants.
