News archive - Event Announcement: Third International Seville Conference on Future-Oriented Technology Analysis (FTA): impacts and implications for policy and decision making

On October 16-17, 2008 the Third International Seville Conference on Future-Oriented Technology Analysis (FTA) organised by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre - Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (JRC-IPTS) will take place in Seville, Spain. Currently a call for abstracts is open (Deadline May 15, 2008)

The focus of the conference is on the impacts and implications of FTA for policy and decision making.

The 2008 FTA Conference will place emphasis on diversity of views by attracting academics, practitioners as well as public and private sector decision makers from Europe, North America, Asia, Latin America, Africa and Australasia.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is Thursday May 15, 2008. Please note that only abstracts submitted directly through the online form available at the conference website will be considered. Authors will be informed by May 31, 2008 whether their abstracts have been accepted. Full text of papers or poster presentations are to be submitted no later than August 15, 2008.
