News archive - Event Announcement: Public Investment in Innovation

The main focus of the conference "Turning knowledge into practice - Getting more out of public investment in innovation" is on the need to measure and improve the effectiveness of publicly-funded programmes, in particular with regard to research and innovation. The event takes place at the dbb forum Berlin, Germany on October 23-24, 2007.

Innovation is substantially linked to growth, instruments and programmes to support innovation are put in place at all levels.
But how do we know whether the best possible use of public money is achieved?
The conference is organised under the PRO INNO Europe initiative of the
European Commission (www.proinno-europe.eu).
Target group are
- policy makers,
- programme owners and managers
- as well as companies and innovation experts
The two-day conference will provide concrete information about the state of the art of the evaluation and impact assessment of publicly-funded programmes.
The conference and reception are open to all and free of charge. The
conference language is English.
