News archive - Albanian’s Prime Minister Berisha: At the end of 2008 all the Albanian schools with internet

The Prime Minister Mr. Berisha did a 2 days visit in Estonia, where he had meetings with high state representatives where one of the topics discussed was the position of technology and information in the society of nowadays.

His first visit was at the college IT. The Prime Minister said that Estonia constitutes a successful example of good practices and especially in the encouragement of private business, in order to be part of the information society. He also mentioned Estonian contribution in the amelioration of teaching, technology and education in general. Appreciating that the further amelioration of education is primary towards the development of information technology, the prime minister asserted that by the end of the year the equipment with internet of all the Albanian schools would be fulfilled.

By the other hand the chief of the Estonian foundation for Technology and Information, Jaag Anton, did a presentation introducing the Prime Minister Berisha with the management of IT College, prom ovation of teaching in IT, also the continuous struggles for the amelioration of infrastructure in the Estonian universities and Colleges.
During these two years, Mr.Berisha said we have walked in this direction, even though there is a lot of work to be done. The prime minister explained that internet is spread through the Albanian society in high rates, from 4% two years ago to 19% in 2008.
