The workshop is intended to encourage further research in innovation systems and knowledge based economies in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Therefore, researchers from Croatia, Poland, Romania, and Germany will be invited to stimulate and benefit from proposed exchange of information, the discussion of current research issues and networking-possibilities.

A workshop fee will not be charged. Participation without the submission of an own paper is possible.

Call for Papers

Submission of papers from all fields of measuring, describing and comparing National Innovation Systems are welcome. Papers regarding socio-cultural aspects of NIS in CEE will be preferred.

Both, theoretical and empirical studies are welcome. Please submit complete papers or extended abstracts as pdf-file together with full contact details by December 20, 2009 to: nis_cee@moez.fraunhnofer.de

Authors will be notified by December 31, 2009 as to whether their paper has been accepted for the conference.
